Facilities Planning Department

Planning Department Overview
The Planning Office administers all Bond, Capital Outlay, and Scheduled Maintenance projects as well as budget oversight for Operations and Planning for all three district campuses: MJC East, MJC West and Columbia College.

The planning department works with architects, engineers and the Department of State Architect, to form a cohesive partnership for projects that meet all California regulations and the Field Act of 1939.

Bond - Bond funded construction projects for the District, Modesto Junior College and Columbia College.

Capital Outlay - Are specific construction projects, such as land, utilities, roads, buildings, and equipment projects. Capital projects may also be thought of in terms of 'facilities systems'.

Scheduled Maintenance - Projects in this category, do not exceed $650,000 and are State matching funds provided for major repairs of buildings and equipment.
