PLAN YEAR: October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025. The District offers eligible employees four Blue Shield PPO plan options and one HMO
plan through Kaiser Permanente. Selection of carriers and/or administration plans
selected by the District shall be subject to negotiations with the District's bargaining
units.
YCCD's benefits are administered through SISC III (Self Insured Schools of California) which is one of the largest school-focused health
care pools in California.

COBRA benefits may be available for employees leaving the District who do not qualify
for Retirement Benefits.
SISC III, our Benefits Administrator, will mail COBRA correspondence to eligible participants regarding
the continuation of medical, dental and/or vision coverage. This should arrive via
certified mail following the cancellation of your benefits. Please respond to SISC
within their election period for continuation of coverage to avoid lapse in benefits.
Blue Shield PPO and Kaiser members may take advantage of six free counseling sessions
through the Employee Assistance Program.
