California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA)
The Yosemite Community College District (YCCD) is a participating agency of the State
of California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act ("CUPCCAA").
Contractor Registration
Under CUPCCAA, the district is required to create and maintain a list of qualified
construction contractors by the category of work performed. Each year in November,
the district will publicly invite licensed contractors to submit their information
and qualifications for inclusion on the list. To register as a contractor and receive

Thresholds for Public Works Projects as of January 1, 2025
Public projects of $75,000 or less may be performed by the employees of a public agency
by force account, by negotiated contract, or by purchase order.
Public projects of $220,000 or less may be let to contract by informal bidding procedures.
Public projects of more than $220,000 shall be let to contract by formal bidding procedures.
*Public projects of $1,000 or more, contractor must pay Prevailing Wages as set forth
by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). LAB 1771 *Public projects of $25,000 or more, contractor and subcontractor must be registered
with the DIR and have a valid registration number in order to perform work at the
District. SB 854 *Public projects of $25,000 or more, contractor to obtain payment bond. The amount
of the bond shall be 100% of the contract amount. CIV 9550-9566 *Public projects of $25,000 or more, contractor to obtain performance bond. The amount
of the bond shall be 100% of the contract amount.
