Bond Measure E In November 2004, voters in the Yosemite Community College District approved Measure
E, the $326 million general obligation bond for the repair, upgrade and new construction
of Modesto Junior College and Columbia College facilities and the expansion of college
education centers in Patterson, Oakdale, Turlock and Angels Camp.
Facilities Master Plan In August 2002, the Yosemite Community College District Board of Trustees commissioned
staff to begin the process of developing a Facilities Master Plan for the District.
Over the course of 16 months, committees representing all employee organizations
and college and District personnel were established to plan the effort. The plan
was later revised in June 2004.
Bond Newsletter The Yosemite Community College District will provide periodic updates regarding the
Measure E bond program. Measure E Updates are sent to all staff to keep the campus
community current on the progress and status regarding Measure E.
Citizens' Oversight Committee The Committee's responsibility is to oversee the use of Measure E funds and to inform
the public concerning the expenditure of bond revenues. The committee is comprised
of a representative each from a college support organization, community college student,
business organization, senior citizen organization, taxpayers association and at-large
community representatives.
Program Management Plan Kitchell produced the Program Management Plan (PMP) as a guidance tool for the implementation
of the Measure E Bond Program. The PMP was developed by meeting with faculty and
staff for each project and validating the program requirements of each funded project
in the Facilities Master Plan. After these meetings, a resequencing occurred and
was approved by the colleges to prepare the new program schedule.
The Program Management Plan reduces the program from a twelve-year program to a nine-year
program. The PMP outlines the goals, scope, budget, schedule, and program for each
project.
Outreach Centers Includes status updates on outreach center projects for the West Side Educational
Center (Patterson), Calaveras Educational Center, Oakdale Educational Center and Turlock
Educational Center.
